Tombane Farm
Situated around an hour and a half from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, Tombane Farm is an ideal place to pause and break a journey north or south and offers a deeply personal and enriching Highland experience.
Tombane Farm is a secluded hill farm set high above the Tay Valley, where sweeping views, ancient Caledonian woodland, and abundant wildlife create a landscape that feels timeless and unspoilt. Guests are welcomed by Hamish and Liberty Martin, whose shared passion for Scotland’s wildlife, flora, food, and craft underpins everything that happens here.
Rooted in land, nature, heritage, and sustainability, each experience is carefully curated to feel authentic, immersive, and entirely bespoke. Experiences at Tombane range from gentle introductions to life on the farm to richly immersive encounters with the surrounding landscape.
PRIVATE DINING
Whether an intimate afternoon of tea and home baking or a multi-course lunch/dinner, each menu is shaped by what the land provides. Home-grown, foraged, and locally sourced ingredients take centre stage, complemented by Liberty’s expertise as an exceptional game cook and her refined eye for design, colour, and vintage detail.
NATURE EXPERIENCES
As a certified herbologist, Hamish is naturally passionate about all things plants. Let him take you around the gardens or further afield on the farm where he will talk about flora, fauna, regeneration and the importance of connecting with the land.
HIGHLAND OUTFITTERS
In need of a kilt or highland attire for an event? Hamish and his son Nicholas are your men. They will help you choose the right pieces, get it all fitted to your measurements, deliver them and even dress you if you would like. The quality of their garments is unprecedented on the hire scene. Available for both men and women.
Whether you’re passing through on your journey to The Torridon or planning a dedicated visit, Tombane Farm offers an enriching pause, a chance to experience the Highlands through land, story, and thoughtful hospitality.
