The Beinn Bar is open all day for residents, and non-residents for drinks, tea & coffee and cake

Exquisite cuisine, stunning location, intimate dining experience
1887 restaurant gets it’s name from the year the hotel was built, when it was a shooting lodge to the Earl of Lovelace. Following a redesign in February 2020, 1887 exudes contemporary elegance and is located in the hotel itself. The Scot’s pine panelled dining room and conservatory is the perfect place to enjoy exquisite food in an intimate location.
Chef Paul Green and his team offer innovative British cuisine which is prepared using fresh produce from The Torridon Farm, Kitchen Garden and surrounding land and lochs. Having our own extensive 2 acre kitchen garden yields a bounty of produce and rearing our own livestock gives us full provenance. Paul loves to focus on local shellfish ( lobster, langoustine & crab ) and fish as well as using the local resorts for game. Our belief in field to fork is at the heart of everything that we do and working with the seasons means the menu is always changing and evolving.
Paul believes in keeping it simple and letting the flavour and provenance of the food do the talking. It is his appreciation of those ingredients and the larder that Scotland has to offer, that really showcases the passion Paul has for cooking. Our menu changes all the time with the seasons and productivity from our kitchen garden.
Head Chef Paul Green says:
“Throughout the spring and summer months, we use a lot of our own vegetables and local fish, creating a lighter menu. The autumn provides seasonal game in the larder and pickling, smoking and curing techniques to the produce, create a richer dining experience in the winter”
We offer a set seasonal menu reflecting the produce in the kitchen garden, this menu will not change daily so take this into consideration when booking multiple nights at the resort. Please note that due to the nature of the menus, we are unable to cater for personal preferences & allergies on the day, although we will happily cater for most dietary requirements with 48 hours notice.
