We’re Cornelius and Hannah, a couple who live locally and run Puffin-along Boat Trips together. From our base at Gairloch Harbour, we take guests out aboard our boat, Puffin ONE, to explore the sea loch, sheltered bays and spectacular coastline we call home.
Our trips are about enjoying the journey rather than rushing from one sighting to the next. Settle into the comfortable, heated cabin or step outside to take in the sea air, mountains and ever-changing views. Along the way, there may be seals, seabirds, sea eagles, dolphins or other wildlife – and whilst we always see plenty of wildlife, we stress that sightings are always a bonus, never a promise.
We offer scheduled one- and two-hour boat trips, and evening cruises, as well as tailored private charters, giving you the freedom to choose an experience that suits your stay.
Whether you’re looking for a peaceful couple of hours on the water, a chance to see the Highlands from a different perspective, or simply some time to slow down and enjoy being together, we’d love to welcome you aboard.
Private Charters
Our bespoke charter option offers you the flexibility to enjoy the coastline around Gairloch and beyond at your own pace – ideal for special occasions, family gatherings, photographers, or small groups wanting a more personalised experience. We’ll work directly with you to plan a charter that suits your interests, schedule, and group.
Your Skipper
Cornelius is our skipper and a marine engineer, bringing a wealth of technical and marine experience to every trip. Together, we’re committed to making your time on the water feel relaxed, comfortable and well looked after.

1 hour – £25
2 hours – £50
Evening cruise – £35 (1.5 hours)
Private charters – please enquire
We operate from March to November and offer full refunds when trips are cancelled due to weather. Children under 12 receive 20% off, and under 2s go free.
Gairloch Harbour is approximately 55 minutes from The Torridon.
