June has the potential to be one of the hottest months of the year and we’ve been enjoying a mini-heatwave here in Torridon with temperatures soaring to 26°+!
It is unusual to get such dry weather in the garden which has meant I have had my work cut out running around trying to keep young plants hydrated, hoping to encourage strong and steady growth.
The young tomatoes, courgettes and grape vines have flourished in this extra heat and the fruits on the bushes are swelling! Chef Ross has been enjoying a healthy crop of veg and it’s only the beginning of summer, lets see how long this sunshine lasts!
