Explore the uniquely dramatic landscapes of Wester Ross and the surrounding Highlands and Islands with a private guided tour from a local guide. Travelling in a comfortable 4x4 SUV (1–4 guests) or minibus (5–8 guests), your local driver‑guide will share extensive knowledge of the area’s history, geology, wildlife, and culture. Tours can follow one of our suggested routes or be customised to suit your interests, with stops at viewpoints, landmarks, artisan shops, and local restaurants throughout the day.
Suggested Routes
Applecross Peninsula
A 4-5 hour tour including scenic viewpoints, Clachan Church, a local artisan shop, and lunch at the Applecross Inn or Walled Garden. The return journey takes you over the Bealach na Bà (weather permitting).
Glenelg
A 7-8 hour day visiting Lochcarron Weavers, Eilean Donan Castle, the Glenelg Brochs, and lunch at the Glenelg Inn. In season, cross to Skye by the historic turntable ferry and return via the Skye Bridge and Plockton.
Isle of Skye
An 8-10 hour tour featuring Lochcarron Weavers, Fairy Glen, Old Man of Storr, and Kilt Rock/Mealt Falls, with time to explore Portree before returning via the Skye Bridge.
Local Torridon attractions such as the Deer Park, Am Ploc open‑air church, or the Gold Cave can be added if time allows.
