Our Gold Award Malt Whisky Bar and its Winning List of Whiskies

The Torridon Whisky Bar and its 350 malt whiskies has once again been given a gold award by Whisky Magazine as one of the best whisky bars in the world. This is a great honour and one that we take very seriously – particularly when one of our guests gazes on the ranks of bottles and asks for a recommendation. In fact there is no better challenge.

Talking about Whisky Magazine, the current issue also features their 2011 list of the best whiskies in the world. Here at The Torridon we can proudly say we have many from the shortlist in the whisky bar. For example:

Talisker 57 North – Best Island with no age
Talisker 10yo – Best Island 12years and under
The Arran Malt – Best Island 13-20years
Highland Park 25yo – Best Island 21years and over & Best Island overall winner
Ardbeg Supernova – Best Islay with no age
Bowmore Tempest – Best Islay 12 years and under, Best Islay overall winner and World’s Best Buy
Lagavulin 16yo – Best Islay 13-20years
Springbank 12yo – Best Campbeltown 12years and under
Balvenie Signature 12yo – Best Speyside 12years and under

We don’t know who the ultimate winners will be yet. Just watch this space
