Run For the Hills: How To Elope in Style to The Torridon

When Kate and Ian from London got married earlier this year they left the city behind and headed for the peace and quiet of The Torridon.

We were thrilled to help them tie the knot and to be part of their special day.

Wedding photographer Lynne Kennedy is a frequent visitor to these parts. She was behind the camera for Kate and Ian’s wedding and has written a blog post about their day.

When I arrived on the wedding day, Kate and the two mums were having hair and make up done the hotel by Anna from KGB Salon in Inverness. The boys, meanwhile, were getting ready, and drinking whisky, at The Boat House, a ten minute walk from the hotel and where Kate and Ian were spending their wedding and honeymoon week. If you are looking for a tranquil and private place to marry and spend your first few days together you’d be hard pushed to find a better place.

Despite the challenges – for a photographer – of a gloriously sunny day in Torridon Lynne’s wedding photographs are magnificent and capture a relaxed and very happy occasion.
