Heavenly Harmonies: The Ethereal Sound of a Harp at a Highland Wedding

One of the most beautiful and atmospheric touches you can add to a Highland wedding is the sound of the harp or the clarsach, our distinctly Scottish version of the harp.

Whether you have it tinkling away as the guests gather before the ceremony or during the signing of the register it adds a wonderful ethereal quality to the day.

Jennifer Port is an accomplished harpist and clarsach player who has entertained at many Highland weddings, including Sabrina and Markus’ special day here at The Torridon.

You can hear her playing a couple of Scottish tunes and some wedding favourites on her website.

While you listen, enjoy Lynne Kennedy’s photographs of the big day.
