From Colleen, our Highland wedding planner.
I have been organising weddings at Torridon for six years now and love every minute of it, from helping them with wine choices, dinner options, table linens and favours to being asked to assist with making the flower choice, it never gets tiresome.
I have met some fantastic people who still stay in touch years after they got married with us and many send Christmas cards which show that the personal touch is appreciated.
I always start planning a wedding by meeting them either in person or over the telephone so I know exactly what they require and expect. We organise weddings from all over the world and are always on hand to be on the telephone at odd hours to accommodate the time differences. Email helps as well.
The intimacy of The Torridon and the attention to the small details are important to brides. We can organise weddings from two people to 50 people and organising them brings so much happiness not only to me but also the team.
The library is a fantastic room for a small wedding, for two to 16 people; for higher numbers the drawing room is ideal.
The weather can be kind and occasionally and we do have weddings on the front lawn. Your wedding pictures can look amazing and dramatic with a backdrop of the loch and mountains.
To see the smiles from the wedding party makes my job feel like one in a million.
