The Lake District is rightly lauded by poets and painters alike, but we would humbly suggest that much of it doesn’t hold a candle to the North West Highlands when it comes to stirring peaks and dramatic landscapes.

Sabiene and Andy, big fans of Scotland’s mountains, travelled north from Wordsworth country to get married at The Torridon earlier this year and it seems they were very happy with their luxury Highland wedding.

Admittedly the weather doesn’t always cooperate for your special day but that can be true anywhere you go. And besides, who forgets a wedding when the guests wear purple wellies?
