We have a very special offer to make for anyone contemplating a romantic Highland wedding. If you book a full two day exclusive wedding at the Torridon and it rains on the big day itself, we will give the damp happy couple a free first wedding anniversary two-day stay.
Who decides if it has rained? What if it didn’t exactly come down like stair rods but the groom thought he may have felt a drop on the back of his head?
Here are the rules: we shall place our antique whisky quaich (yes, empty) on a high point of the outside of the house at 9am to collect anything which might fall from the clouds. At 4pm, one of the management team will accompany the father of the bride or his proxy to fetch the quaich.
And if it has collected a single drop of rain during that time, the first anniversary treat is on the house.
Book now and one of the wedding team will explain the terms and conditions. There aren’t many but, for example, we won’t be adding in airfares from Canada or providing a spare bed in the room for the mother-in-law. Otherwise it will be a delightful couple of days of food and drink and luxury accommodation and reminiscing about your happy day at the Torridon.
And all because a little rain fell on your wedding day.
As for The Torridon, we think it’s a risk worth taking. I mean, who ever heard of it raining in the Highlands?
