Everything stops for tea here at The Torridon where we have just launched a brand new afternoon tea menu to delight our guests and thirsty visitors.
Pride of place on the tea tray goes to our own blend created by Camellia’s Tea House of Carnaby Street.
Camellia’s is renowned for offering bespoke designer teas from across the world and have tapped into this expertise to produce the Torridon Signature Blend, combining Assam Bargang tea leaves from Northern India, and traditional Keemun tea from the Central Province of China.
It is a deep reddish-brown with a rich and creamy taste with slightly sweet and flowery notes, delicious on its own or with milk.
And if the thought of that does not, literally, whet your appetite, we have other flavours on our new tea menu, including Earl Grey, Lung Chin, Darjeeling Namring and Assam Leaf as well as refreshing fruit teas and a soothing Aching Muscles herb infusion – for when you have been out on the hills with the Activities team.
Amanda Savill from Camellia’s Tea House personally trained our staff in the perfect preparation of the Torridon Signature Blend, so you can be sure to enjoy it at its best. And let’s not forget the food, with the Torridon kitchen creating elegant finger sandwiches, homemade cake, scones and shortbread.
It is the ultimate afternoon indulgence in front of the fire.
Booking for the Torridon afternoon tea is essential at £20 per person. Or why not add an extra touch of luxury with a Champagne afternoon tea at £30 per person?
PS. The new Torridon Signature Blend tea is also available in a bespoke caddie to buy in our shop.
