With my excitement of getting the Ardbeg Supernova and telling everyone about it, I am ecstatic to say that we have now sold out and so I find myself ordering more whisky to replace it. Now another Supernova will be coming and another of my choice to add to the collection (“oh no,” I hear Dan say). I have found that recently people have more of an understanding of whisky and actually want to taste different regions and experiment rather than go with the usual malts you can buy at the supermarket. I have experimented recently with whisky I would not usually try such as Bruichladdich PC7 which is a huge and powerful malt, the Glenmorangie Astar, with its sweet, toffee notes and a nice glide down the throat and many more which you will read about in my tasting notes of the week. I urge everyone to keep trying new things and let me know if you find something as special as the Supernova and which you think it would do well on the whisky bar of Torridon.
