The Torridon kitchen garden is delivering an abundance of fantastic produce to the chefs this week.
Well, perhaps, not actually delivering. The chefs have to go and get it but happily that is only a two minute walk from the kitchen.
Our head chef David Barnett loves the spring and early summer crops from the garden.
So far he has had early salad leaves including rocket to play with and the first of the delicious new potatoes, as well as a profusion of herbs – chives, mint, rosemary, lemon verbena – and edible flowers such as marigolds, nasturtiums and rose petals to turn our guests’ plates into a riot of colours.
Oh and let’s not forget the first gorgeous Scottish fruits such a gooseberries and these glorious strawberries.
