What is your role here at The Torridon?
Food and beverage duty manager since September 2019.
What originally brought you to work at The Torridon?
I have always wanted to come to Scotland, I was attracted by the landscape and history of spirits.
What does your job entail on a day to day basis?
Ensure that the guest have a nice time and anything they need at the whisky bar, lounge or 1887 restaurant, I make sure that me and my team are doing our best at all times with a nice smile on our faces.
Tell us your favourite thing about your job?
I like how varied it is and means having a response or reaction to any situation. I also enjoy developing a nice relationship with our guests.
What is your favourite thing about the area?
The area is a magical place very relaxing and peaceful, my favourite thing is the serenity that we can find around and inside the hotel.
Are there any ‘must sees’ for visitors to the area?
All the fisherman’s little village and definitely the land on top of Beinn Damph.
Is there any advice you would give to someone applying to join the Torridon team?
Don’t think too much about the remoteness and just come to discover and enjoy.
