Introducing... The Torridon Tartan
Our creative partnership with Highland Outfitters
Next time you visit the Torridon, look out for our beautiful new Torridon tartan, which we’ve created in close collaboration with Hamish Martin, founder of the Highland Outfitters.
Each colour and thread symbolises a different texture of the Torridon experience, from the deep blue of the clear, starry skies above the estate to the dark green of the sea loch and hillside to the red of lichen, sandstone and Rowan berries.
Together, these elements are woven together to capture the rare spirit and beauty of the Torridon location.

To create the tartan, co-owner and designer Rohaise worked with long-time friend of the Torridon Hamish to develop a material that truly reflected our unique heritage and setting. Watch our full video to uncover the process and the inspiration behind the Torridon tartan.
Torridon Tartan
As well as subtle tartan touches to spot around the hotel, there will also be the opportunity to buy your own Torridon tartan: a fitting memento of your great escape. Pick up a scarf or a tartan-sporting Highland coo and take a little piece of the Torridon wherever you roam.
