The Torridon is a magnificent destination, whichever time of year you visit.
In spring, you’ll experience the beauty of a landscape stirring to life after winter’s icy reign. Summer brings bold colours to our kitchen garden, fresh berries, and adventure in the mountains and loch.
With autumn, our exquisite landscape burns with golden colour and crisp leaves fall, to be crunched underfoot. In winter, it’s the perfect setting for sparkling celebrations and gazing at the constellations scattering our clear, dark skies.

January
Welcome the new year in true Scottish style with The Torridon’s traditional Hogmanay.
February
As The Torridon begins to thaw out from winter and emerge from its hibernation over January, we want to welcome guests to come and experience our new additions to the hotel.
March
March brings the first signs of a sunnier climate to Wester Ross, and a new lease of life in our grounds.
April
In April, The Torridon is officially open for the high season, and we welcome guests every day of the week.
May
As May is National Walking Month, we can’t think of a better way to spend it than by conquering the mountains of Wester Ross.
June
Dining in time with the seasons is an essential element of our food offering at The Torridon.
July
July is definitely the warmest time of the year to visit The Torridon. Blossoming gardens, exhilarating activities and menus bursting with the flavours of the sea are on top of the agenda this month.
August
August may not be scorching in the Highlands, but the month brings long days beaming with morning rays, golden evening hours, and perhaps a welcome light shower or two.
September
Despite nearing the end of summer, September in the Highlands still brings long, light-filled afternoons with dramatic moods and changing shades – it truly is a wonderful time to visit the Highlands.
October
The fully fledged Highland autumn turns an awe-inspiring palette of gold and red hues in October.
November
Mid-November is still a rewarding time to see the most beguiling foliage in the Highlands, without having to pack your warmest gear.
December
December has the shortest amount of daylight in the year but with that comes a spectacular chance to witness long evenings twinkling with constellations and share the festive season with loved ones in the most picturesque of settings.
