Take the perfect Torridon Picture
In this mini-series celebrating World Photo Day photographer Matt Buckley tells us about some of the best spots to land a perfect photo in the UNESCO Wester Ross biosphere that provides the beautiful and rugged Torridon Landscape.
Matt says – Torridon is one of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever visited; turning off the main road at Kinlochewe and plunging down the glen, the peaks of Beinn Eighe and Liathach towering above you, forming an imposing landscape that is almost unparalleled anywhere else in the UK. My first encounter with this landscape was back in 2016 and I must have been back at least 10 times since then; probably spending nearly 6 months in the area. Over that time, I’ve discovered some of the best spots for photography; huge views and hidden waterfalls, Torridon really has it all. In this series, I’ll share some of my favourite locations for photography in the area, and even if you’re not into photography I’d highly recommend a visit during your stay.
