Big changes this year at the Toridon Inn where Donald MacDonald becomes manager and Bruno Birkbeck, head chef of the hotel’s three rosette restaurant, takes over the kitchen. Donald is a local lad, very welcoming and knows everything about the area. He is learning his real ale, having recently converted from lager and is very customer-focused. We will keep providing ale from our favourite breweries such as An Teallach, Isle of Skye and Cairngorm and look forward to holding our second Real Ale festival.
Bruno has some great ideas for the restaurant. Most importantly is a focus on pub food with a clear distinction from gastro food. We will have great favourites on from fish and chips and burgers to black pudding and smoked salmon. We will have traditional meat pies, bangers and mash as well as local shellfish and West Coast fish.
The bedrooms at the Inn are having some work down with the aim of becoming to a 4 star traditional inn. We have new carpets and furniture and the bathrooms are having a makeover to give a fresh and clean look. Whether it is for a pint, a plate of fish and chips or to stay the night, please come and see the changes at The Stables.
