It’s not unusual for newlyweds to seek a getaway-from-it-all destination for their romantic honeymoon in the Highlands. This week we heard from a happy couple who had simply entered “hotel in the middle of nowhere Scotland” into Google and found themselves a few weeks later at The Torridon.
The resulting Tridadvisor review of their honeymoon in the Highlands makes joyful reading.
The Torridon was perfect luxury for a honeymoon. It is a beautiful place and the journey to get there is also amazing. The room was really comfortable and we had the best sleep we have ever had. The whisky bar was also really good and I found the first whisky I ever liked. The Breakfast is delicious. It doesn’t get better than this!
That is one of the great things about having 350 whiskies in the Torridon whisky bar. Even if you don’t think you like whisky, there is a chance the staff will help you find one you will love.
Another Tripadvisor review this month started with a complaint! But just one. And not a bad one really.
Our only complaint is that we had only booked one night in this stunning hotel. Fabulous welcome with complimentary homemade cake and tea on arrival, luxuriously comfy room, excellent service and a wonderful dinner in the main hotel restaurant. Breakfast too was excellent, no complaints, would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of luxury while touring Scotland.
Finally for this month, a happy Tripadvisor reviewer described how their hotel suite became their perfect sanctuary.
Our Master suite was very big and very well equipped, with a view to take your breath away from a huge bay window looking out of the garden to the Loch. With the oversized armchairs and footstools, it was a perfect alternative to the Library when we wanted to relax with tea or coffee, read and just admire the scenery.
We have a lot of scenery to admire. Come back soon and we will be delighted to put it on display again.
