The drive from Inverness to The Torridon is glorious but its crowning glory is surely the last 10 miles from Kinlochewe.
This is car commercial country with a fine, winding, single track Highland road – often empty – and a backdrop of The Torridon mountains.
It’s hard to describe; easier to show.
Hyperlapse technology by Teehan + Lax combines street view with time lapse video and it is fun to enter your own coordinates to trace your route.
Here is our version of the route from Kinlochewe to the gates of The Torridon. Watch it on your desktop – it probably won’t work on smaller devices like phones or tablets – and press the space bar to pause at any point.
Some people might think that is rain at one point on the drive but it is really the cameraman’s tears at such a beautiful view. Honestly.
