We have spent the recent months trying to decide what uniform the staff should wear. We have traditionally used a black uniform with kilted skirts, open shirts and waistcoat for the girls and trousers with tie and waistcoat for guys. This time we had a brainstorm and decided that the uniform should represent what the Torridon is about and must make a statement.
We made a number of decisions to try and improve the uniform; we wanted a clean and crisp look with a contemporary feel; staff need to feel proud of what they are wearing and it needs to be easy to maintain. We have come up with a new grey uniform with tie and waistcoat for both the boys and girls and blend of grey and Torridon tweed with a purple scarf for the senior staff.
It has taken a few fittings to get it right but we have now got staff into the new uniform and they are looking great. Natalia our restaurant manager is pictured here, with some of her team, looking fantastic in their new kit! We have plans to give the uniform a subtle twist from day to night and hope the staff feel as proud wearing it as we do seeing it.
