Who needs the internet when you have a well-thumbed copy of the Good Hotel Guide to inspire you on your travels?

The famous Guide, still going strong after 37 years, relies on discerning travellers to provide much of its copy, furnishing the pages with reviews of the hotels they have visited and enjoyed throughout the year.

Just in case their enthusiasm wanes, the GHG likes to reward the best reviewer on any given month with a prize of a night’s stay for two including dinner, bed and breakfast in one of its selected hotels.

They also have a Report of the Year competition in which a dozen reader-writers are applauded for the helpfulness of their reviews and presented with a copy of the Guide and an invitation to the annual launch party.
