Green clean…..with a little help from science!

At the Torridon we are always trying to come up with ways in which we can help the environment and reduce our carbon footprint, none more so then our Head Housekeeper Jo. she is always trying to find ways to reduce the impact we have on the environment and our health;  from the natural REN products to 100% recycled toilet & tissue paper, to plastic recycling and LED lighting. 

Jo had been aware of the Ionator, a new innovation and concept of cleaning which uses only tap water straight out of our wee burn!  She set about researching the product and contacting other hotel  and industry professionals to get recommendations and feedback. She contacted the suppliers who were happy to let her try one out and the results have been startling!

The Ionator  works by changing the tap water into an oxygen rich mixture of positively and negatively charged nano-bubbles. The ‘charged’ water when sprayed onto surfaces breaks down the dirt and kills the germs allowing them to be wiped away. All the staff at The Torridon love using the Ionator and all the rooms at the Torridon are now chemical free and even more sparkly than they were before as there is now no chemical build up on the surfaces and the air is as fresh inside as it is outside.
