The Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland is a programme that is open to 17-24 year olds, allowing them to take on a two-year apprenticeship role within a Hotel in Scotland.

What differs in this apprenticeship to usual ones is that you have the opportunity to learn in all departments of hospitality rather than being restricted to one.

At The Torridon we are actively involved in the Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland and we take on young people with the aim to help develop and teach you skills that you can use to further your career.

Our current apprentice Rosie sums up her experience so far as “challenging, exciting and confidence”.

Rosie has had the opportunity to experience all departments within the hotel including front of house, house keeping and in the kitchen too. Rosie thrives in the challenging, quick-paced environment and looks forward to every new department to learn a new area of skills.

Not only will you learn the necessary skills for working within the hospitality departments, you will also develop people skills, confidence, customer or guest service skills that you will take into each department with you.
