When it comes to choosing a hotel it always helps to have a reliable recommendation. This week the Independent asked three experts to nominate their 50 Best British Hotels.
Their judges were Tom Bell, editor of Sawday’s Special Places British Hotels & Inns, Erin Boyd, founder of dog-friendly travel company Chien Bleu and Tamara Heber-Percy, co-founder and one half of Mr & Mrs Smith.
We are delighted to say they included The Torridon as one the 50 best hotels in Britain.
Here is what they said:
The Torridon
Sports-car manufacturers host events here because of its remote location, fine whisky selection and proximity to the empty Highland roads, Applecross and Skye. The rest of us will love it for its rustic charm, fine views and old world luxury.
Independent readers and independent-minded travellers are always welcome to try us out for themselves.
