Strings to Tie the Knot: Music for a Special Scottish Wedding

Every wedding is special but this weekend’s wedding at the Torridon was accompanied by some of the most beautiful music to grace our reception rooms.

Scottish harpist Jennifer Port played before and after the wedding ceremony. One of Scotland’s foremost clarsach players, Jennifer is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and a native of Sutherland. Her clarsach playing adds a timeless ethereal quality to a Highland wedding,

As if that was not enough of a treat, the Rose Street String Quartet also played for the wedding party on Saturday night. Plucked from a core group of virtuosos, the Edinburgh-based quartet has a wide repertoire from Bach to Braveheart.

Add another member and you could even have the Trout Quintet to accompany Chef Bruno’s fantastic seafood buffet.

If you would like to discuss your wedding plans or special musical requirements, telephone our wedding planner on 01445 712253.
