It is marmalade season at The Torridon when Geraldine Gregory takes advantage of some chef downtime to whip up a fresh batch in the Torridon kitchen. Geraldine is Rohaise’s mother and garners fulsome praise from guests who love finding her tangy marmalade on the Torridon breakfast table.
As you probably know there is a long tradition of marmalade making in Scotland. Arguably we should have European protection for our art similar to Champagne and Cheddar. However Geraldine has never been precious about her marmalade and is more than happy for people to spread it about.
