Lucky guests at the Torridon are benefiting from Chef Bruno Birkbeck’s appearance on the Great British Menu, the popular BBC chef competition. Having perfected his dishes in the run-up to the Great British Menu, Bruno is now serving them to diners in the Torridon Restaurant. Last night, for example, they were treated to Bruno’s innovative take on the ploughman’s, a gourmet terrine served with a mini shandy.
It was great to see so much support for Bruno throughout the programme. For example, if you searched Twitter for the hash tag #GBM or just “great british menu” during the closely-contested North West heat, you would find a lot of fans for his modern take on British classics. They are all welcome to book a table at the Torridon to try them in a more relaxed – and relaxing – setting.
