It is Food Week here on the Torridon blog and in case you have missed it, we would like to introduce you to our own gourmet Twitter feed. We call it @scottishkitchen but this is not your granny’s mince and tatties. Rather our Highland tweets will often give you an idea of what is on the menu in the Torridon fine dining restaurant. For foodies in search of a great Scottish restaurant in the Highlands this seems to act as something of a siren call. Witness the allure of line-caught seabass, aubergine caviar and confit peppers or something like roasted loin of cod, violet pomme puree, wild leeks and caper chicken jus followed by the pastry chef’s strawberry cheesecake, strawberry sorbet and white chocolate caramel. You see? If you think great Scottish cooking stops short of the Highland line or that we are all about haggis neeps and tatties, a quick look at the menu will have you grabbing the next flight to Inverness.
