From the whisky bar: Glenmorangie Astar

Another week and another new bottle to add to the collection. Last week I secured the Glenmorangie Astar which initially I was not going to get due to the amount of Glenmorangie whiskies on the market. However when reading about the Astar and having it recommended by Charlie Brown, I decided that this is a must and I couldn’t have been more correct.

Nose: Sweet, peppery, toffee notes and deep wood

Palate: This whisky is one of the smoothest I have tried for some time. It is creamy but still has pepper and spice.

Finish: Long and lingering in a good way.

This whisky is fantastic and gets a high rating from me. Although I generally tend to go for the Ardbegs this whisky lives up to the hype from its bottling to the taste, I would recommend anyone to try.
