Another week and another whisky for you to try. This week I decided to go back to my original favourite and my first love the Balvenie 21 Portwood.

Nose: Sweet, violets, honey
Palate: Lots of toffee and vanilla
Finish: fantastic

This is a great whisky for people that are never quite sure what to try. Not cheap whisky by any means but worth every penny. It is matured in a bourbon cask to begin with then moved to sherry pipes for extra maturation so you know that you will get something special with this malt.
