Chef’s Cheese Diary: Admiral Collingwood at your service

To mark the passing of a great football man – Sir Bobby Robson – I’ve rolled out another great Geordie special: Admiral Collingwood. This is a fantastic, aromatic cheese with a rind washed in Newcastle Brown ale of all things. Made by the wonderful people at Doddington Dairy in and named after a Northumbrian naval hero, it has a great, smooth, full cow’s milk flavour. They have a modern approach to cheese making but made with North East passion, it has the quality of a legend in making. Just like the great man himself: Sir Bobby you will be missed.
