Chef at the Show: Enjoying a Taste of The Torridon at the RHS 2015

The Torridon’s own chef David Barnett delighted audiences at the Royal Highland Show today when he gave two culinary demonstrations on the new cookery stage at Scotland’s Larder Live!

In the first of his two appearances David wowed the crowd with an Isle of Ewe smoked salmon recipe, featuring his sensation seaweed meringues.

When he returned in the afternoon, David Barnett showed off the sort of flavours you get from the Torridon’s own Tamworth pork, served with a spelt grain risotto and parmesan crisps. He then rounded his appearance off with a strawberry dessert featuring Cairn o’Mhor sparkling strawberry wine with elderflower sorbet.

The Royal Highland Show audience seemed to love the tasters at the end, particularly his unique take on a Torridon tea cake.

Relive moments from the show in this video and download the recipes from the cookery demonstration here.
