A cask-strength 10 year old from Bowmore, Tempest has been vatted from first-fill bourbon casks.
Verdict: A great whisky which can certainly compete against the 15 year old in my opinion. Very rich and complex.
Nose: Fruit, slight smoke, sweetness which reminds me of cre?me brulee.
Palate: Very fruity and rich with some smoke
Finish: Long
As always these are my notes and so if you have any thoughts these are always appreciated so please let me know.
