Luxurious Scottish retreat The Torridon Hotel has been awarded five-star accreditation by the AA.
The new accreditation comes hot on the heels of The Torridon winning ‘Most Hospitable Hotel of the Year’ in the Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards 2017, and of one of the hotel’s apprentices, Rosie Wilkins, winning ‘Apprentice of the Year Level 2’ as well as ‘Scotland’s Apprentice of the Year’ in the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards 2017.
Set on the edge of a sea loch overlooked by the Torridon mountains, The Torridon has 18 luxurious, individually-designed bedrooms that combine Victorian character, contemporary design and bold colours. The gourmet restaurant 1887 presents four or seven course supplier-led, daily-changing menus of imaginative dishes crafted from the best local produce.
All staff at The Torridon are provided with a bespoke training programme to enhance their sterling efforts and deep dedication to providing the guests with impeccable service with a smile.
Dan Rose-Bristow, owner, says:
‘We are very happy to have been given a five-star listing by the AA. The Torridon offers a consistently high level of service, we are continuously refreshing bedrooms and 1887 is renowned for its top-class menus – to receive recognition for this is extremely satisfying.”
