That is why working in Torridon is one of the best place for me to be. I started as a Food and Beverage assistant in the 1887 restaurant nine months ago, after two months I got promoted to supervisor and I am a trainee assistant manager now. During my whole journey I always got the right support, such as good training programmes and useful courses, which have made me not only better in my job, but also a better person in life.
What have you enjoyed so far? – I am enjoying lot of stuff here, Torridon is a nice place to be. I love my colleagues and the little community what we have here. I like the different type of challenges every day in work, but the main thing for me that I can do what I love which is hospitality in a good atmosphere in a five-star environment.
What have you not enjoyed so far? – For me, two things. First, the Scottish midges they make your life harder here. Second, is the fact that I do not have driving license at the moment, so transportation is not easy, but I am lucky that I have nice colleagues and friends here, who offering a lift for me. I going to fix this problem soon, because the company offer their employees a personal development grant, what I plan to use to get my driving license.
