There is no doubt that online review sites have become an important part of the travel planning process and the daddy of them all is surely TripAdvisor. That is why we pay very close attention to every new TripAdvisor review of the Torridon. For one thing, it gives us very valuable feedback; for another, a great review boosts staff morale.

This morning, for example, we were thrilled to read a new TripAdvisor review headlined: “Great hotel for luxury and outdoors activities. Great Inn for food”. The reviewer had visited the Torridon with friends last week and stayed at both the hotel and the inn. (Tripadvisor often gets confused between the Torridon hotel and the Torridon inn so this possibly didn’t help but never mind).

The reviewer concluded: “I would highly recommend this Hotel (and Inn) and hope to return. It was ideally suited to experience the beautiful scenery whilst staying in high comfort.” We also hope our reviewer returns. That is just the sort of feedback which leaves everybody happy.
