Champagne Moments at The Torridon

As lighter days unfurl in the Highlands, savour those longer summer moments at The Torridon and take our new Moët & Chandon hampers out into the wilderness. Stylish, versatile and made from natural materials, our custom made hampers perfectly match the surroundings of The Torridon.

Whether you choose a sun-soaked afternoon in the woodlands, dusk falling over the sea loch or star gazing – Champagne Moments shared with someone special can make memories that last a lifetime.

We have paired the most prestigious taste of champagne with unspoilt nature to come up with some inspiring Champagne Moments to share when at The Torridon.

On the Front Lawn

Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label

For socialising and reclining in the sunshine, look no further than Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. Founded in 1876, the iconic yellow label is solaire itself, and its sweet, buttery taste epitomises the optimism of summer. As midday approaches on the front lawn and The Torridon is bathed in light from the sun at its highest point, lift a glass up and say santé to many more joyful days to come.

On the Hill

Moët & Chandon Impérial

As your dedicated Torridon Outdoors guide leads you on a gentle stroll to near one of the stunning Torridon Hills, why not reach for a celebratory and refreshing Moët & Chandon Impérial? Available in half or mini bottles, pack the versatile Champagne before your walk and enjoy the vibrant taste of citrus fruit during a pit stop. Take in the rolling, green hills, and an added intensity of green apple as you reconnect with nature.

In the Woods

Maison Ruinart

A summertime stroll in the woodlands surrounding The Torridon can serve as a reminder of the awe-inspiring power of nature and how important our part is in preserving it. Maison Ruinart are striving to lead the way for sustainability in Champagne, with dual-certified sustainable vineyards, use of 100% energy in winery production, and an ongoing commitment to responsible packaging. Second Skin is made from natural wood fibres, sourced from eco-managed, FSC certified European forests and has reduced CO2 emissions versus their previous gift pack by 60%. Take a bottle with you to share on your afternoon woodland walk and know that the aromatic grapes not only taste good but do good too.

By the Sea

Moët& Chandon Grand Vintage 2012

Extra dry, and brimming with mineral elegance, the  Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2012 is the natural accompaniment to the refreshing sea air of Loch Torridon. A tangy finish is a delight with fresh seafood, including plump langoustines, which the Loch is teeming with. As the sun begins to set, venture off from The Torridon with a hamper in tow and find a spot close to the shore. Sip on the crisp blend, as calm waters begin to glow pink and savour a tantalising grapefruit character.

Night-time

Dom Pérignon

Powerful, above all other flavours, Dom Pérignon is the ideal partner to the clear starlit skies surrounding The Torridon resort, and perfect as an accompaniment to stargazing.  Legend has it that eponymous Benedictine monk, Father Dom Pierre Perignon told a fellow monk on first tasting the champagne t to “come quickly, I am drinking the stars”. Whether you gaze upon the stars from your room or follow our expert for the perfect view of the Arcturus constellation, experience Dom Perignon’s maturity with the same intensity as seeing the night sky in all its glory.

Classic Room

Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial

A glass of Moët & Chandon Rosé Imperial is an ideal in-room treat at The Torridon, whenever you crave an indulgent respite from the outdoors. The Champagne’s bright shade of pink makes an aesthetically pleasing contrast to the calming colour palette of the hotel’s classic room. Just like the room’s mix of Scottish heritage with contemporary furniture, the grapes from the oldest and most flavourful vines are brought to life with a bold and modern design to create a very versatile drink. The lively bouquet of red fruits complements an array of dishes too, from salads to red meat. Why not treat yourself to champagne and dinner in bed? You most definitely deserve it.
