This is a lovely walk and a real favourite of our guests at The Torridon. It covers 4km and takes you out round the peninsula separating Loch Torridon and Loch Shieldaig, with fantastic views back up Loch Torridon and further on into the glen.
If you follow our route exactly, the paths are mainly of a high standard and any slightly tricky bits are well worth the unique views.
The starting point is Shieldaig campsite, near the school. You soon come across a series of small bays where you can walk down to the water’s edge. There is one in particular which makes a great picnic spot.
On that subject Shieldaig village has several places where you can enjoy a restoring cup of tea after your stroll.
Talk to the Torridon staff for details of the walking route or to do this as a guided walk with the Torridon Activities team.
