Guests enjoy archery on the lawn at The Torridon
Where do superheroes go when they are not battling evil? According to the travel desk at CNN, even Spiderman needs rest and relaxation during the quiet times. This week their writer, Pam Grout, has put some thought into where the world’s greatest heroes might go on holiday and concluded that Hawkeye would vacation at The Torridon.
Given Hawkeye’s interest in archery this makes perfect sense as The Torridon offers plenty of opportunity to practise on the front lawn. Also, The Torridon Activities team is so full of superheroes already another wouldn’t seem out of place.
Here is what CNN has to say about Hawkeye’s holiday plans in the West Highlands:
This former circus performer turned villain turned hero has been hiding ever since watching Jeremy Renner play his role in the recent film.
Renner’s bow skills, not quite up to Hawkeye’s “World’s Greatest Marksman” standards, could have been perfected, if only he’d joined Hawkeye at The Torridon.
This 23-hectare lodge overlooking mystical sea lochs and winner of 2011’s Best Hotel in Scotland award runs, among other things, daily archery lessons. And if that doesn’t work, sorrows can be drowned with the lodge’s selection of 350 whiskeys.
Lovely. Quite right too. (And we’ll forgive the way they spell whisky)
