Time for Torridon staff activities and once again it was river kayaking, with an interesting mix of total beginners and more experienced paddlers. We picked Poolewe in the hope the River Ewe would have some water in it. The staff got into wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and their boats and once on water, got used to the sensation. We split into two groups, with Chris teaching more advanced skills whilst the rest stayed with me. As a finale, we decided to try seal launching, where you sit in your kayak on the bank and slide into the water. We gradually got higher and most managed to go off the top. Too soon we hurried back to Torridon as some of the group had work that evening.
