This week has seen a total mix of weather conditions in the Torridon area. On Tuesday we had the same heavy snow most of the country had. Wednesday brought yet more of the white stuff (not that I am complaining). Thursday brightened but we had low cloud with some heavy showers. Then Friday was an absolute gem! There were clear blue skies, sunshine and low temperatures; great for being in the hills! Unfortunately I have spent the last week working down at the climbing area cutting and burning rhododendrons. This job needs to be done before the the season starts but looking out at the hills on Friday, I was tempted to ask for the day off. Fortunately it looks like the snow will be here for a little while longer and I should be able to get some time in the hills.
