Where is the best mountain biking in Scotland? The Torridon hills according to Danny MacAskill and he should know. The 28 year old from Skye is famous for his spectacular two-wheeled antics around Britain.
Few people ever attempt the sort of moves MacAskill throws into his daily cycle, balancing on top of gates, sliding along upended tree trunks, ploughing neck-deep through water, but many are envious of the scenery he finds along the way.
Wee Day Out, the latest MacAskill masterclass in MTB madness was shot in the Highlands. Amongst other larks it features Danny and his bike astride a rolling hay bale.
Coinciding with the release of Wee Day Out, The Telegraph interviewed MacAskill this week and he opened up about his affection for Torridon.
We would not necessarily recommend jumping onto the Kyle of Lochalsh railway line with one of our mountain bikes – in fact we would specifically request you didn’t bother – but Torridon Activities have mountain bikes to hire and the team can take you or point you in the right direction for wonderful trails in the area.
We have mountain biking for every age and stage here, from easy glides along loch side trails to steeper ascents up nearby slopes.
To follow in MacAskill’s tyre tracks – but without the death-defying stunts – contact Torridon Activities today.
