First sign of Otters

I know I shouldn’t go on but sometimes its just to good not to mention. A few days a go you may have read my my blog entry about the Propisies coming to see us well thanks to the local wildlife community I have yet another siteting for the start of the year. On one of our trips in Loch Shieldiag we we’re passing round Shieldiag island. Whilst doddging the seals and the amazing little black Guillemots a pair of Otters decided to join us for a few moments.
They both popped their heads out of the water and one climbed up on the rocks in front of us. The one in the water then proceded to dive back under whilst the other one had a quick look round the rock he now claimed as his own and then darted back into the water. Though brief it was fantastic to see how much is going on in the Torridon area and once again shows how you can get to some amazing places with a simple kayak.
