Chris Wilson
Chris has spent a life time playing outdoors and brings this enthusiasm to everything he does. He if a fully qualified winter mountain leader, climbing instructor and kayak coach. He is also a qualified swift water rescue technician, archery coach and all round great guy. When running sessions he brings his dry wit and unbridled confidence that finds people trying, achieving and seeing things they would never have thought possible. If you ever see him outside work you will either see him plunging into water or heading up the side of the hill that has no path.
Richard Trott
Richard is the ‘boy band instructor’ that is always guaranteed to charm even the hardiest beardest hill walker. As a fully qualified summer mountain leader, climbing instructors and swift water rescue technician to mention just a few you are guaranteed to see him up to something. His boyish charms and professionalism guarantee that everyone who goes out with him always come back convinced that what ever they have just done is the greatest thing in the world and they are never far wrong. If you ever see Richard out of work you will probably see him throwing himself around in a kayak as he works towards his kayak coaching award or going up the side of the hill that he thinks is steeper than the one chris has just gone up.
Ryan Maclean
Ryan is our newest member of the team and will be with us all summer. Ryan has lived in the Torridon area ever since he was found abandoned outside the Torridon Mountain rescue store as a baby wrapped only in a bothy shelter. A kind and gentle couple called Eoghain and Susan Maclean took the new born in and cared for him and raised him as their own. Eoghain is in fact the Torridon Mountain rescue team boss and as such Ryan was originally added to the teams kit list when they first found Ryan as Eoghain thought he was a donation. All these years later Ryan is now often found wondering the hills and climbing and this year he hopes to grow his first webbed toe and start kayaking. He is a long term member of the Torridon Mountain rescue team and is now the equipment officer for the team which ironically finds himself once a month having to do a check on himself to see if he is still functional as the team has never removed him from the kit list.
